“Growing up in a very small town, moving away for college, and settling down in a large city opened my eyes to the many inequities BIPOC youth are confronted with on a daily basis including those specifically within the education system. I understand how my white privilege has allowed me to be where I am today, working daily at staying informed and being a loyal ally in this work. I’m honored to be part of the CIS movement doing my part in closing the inequity gaps that exist for BIPOC youth.”
